SPIDER-MAN 2: GREATER TOGETHER TRAILER
SOUND RE-DESIGN
Aside from the occasional ambient guitar part, I stripped this of music so my FX bed could be easily heard.
I approached this re-design from a couple of different angles:
Make it big, exciting, and immersive
Use unique design techniques throughout so that my sounds would have a fresh quality to them. For this, I used my electric guitar and several effects pedals. The soloed guitar sounds can be heard in the second half of the video.
SHATTERING THE SYSTEM (EPISODE 1)
SOUND DESIGN AND MUSIC
I was the lead editor, mixer, and sound designer for a long-form journalism podcast I worked on called Shattering the System.
Here is a sound design excerpt from Episode 1.
The assignment was to take the listener along a nostalgic stroll down the Sunset Strip with host Sonari Glinton, and then subtly transfer them into a murky, psychologically dark place as Sonari approached the former apartment of Ed Buck, the criminal subject of the series.
This scene juxtaposes the West Hollywood ideal with the darkness that was/is allowed to coexist in its shadows, and this theme is explored throughout the 1st Season of the show.

CAMP REDRUM (EPISODE 12)
SOUND DESIGN AND MIXING
Camp Redrum is a fiction audio thriller for kids produced by ABF Creative Inc.
THE SCENE:
Krampus has come to terrorize a brother and sister who disobeyed their Grandfather.
THE CHALLENGE:
At this point, the story has reached its fever-pitched conclusion, and we had to create an environment of chaos and sweeping forward momentum without drowning out our voice actor.
THE SOLUTION:
FX stems were summed to a stereo track, and a dynamic multi-band compressor was added for strong ducking of frequencies that would otherwise fight with the voice-over.
Music stems were also summed to a stereo track, but a dynamic multi-band EQ was used instead of a dynamic compressor. The EQ allowed for a more subtle ducking effect that made space for the voice without awkwardly squashing the ambient notes being played.
